Ordering
Offers, ordering & payment
What offers are running at the moment?
Two, and they run all year, in both shops and online:
Buy 3, get 1 at 50% off. Put four fragrances in the basket and one of them is half price.
Buy 6, get 1 free. Put seven in the basket and one of them is on us.
Online the discount is applied automatically in the cart — there is no code to enter.
How do I place an order?
Add what you want to the cart and check out. You will get a confirmation email straight away with your order number — keep it, it is what we look you up by. Orders are picked and packed within one to two business days.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Every price on the site is in Canadian dollars, and tax is added at checkout.
Is it safe to pay on this site?
Yes. Payment is handled by Shopify's own checkout, the same one used by millions of stores. Your card details go straight to the payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can check out as a guest. Creating an account simply keeps your past orders and addresses in one place for next time.
Can I change an order after placing it?
If a detail needs correcting — a delivery address, for instance — please contact us as soon as possible on (778) 814-0746 or at hassanperfumesca@gmail.com, quoting your order number. Orders are prepared within one to two business days, and once a parcel is with the carrier it can no longer be changed.
Do you sell gift cards?
Not yet, though it is on our list. In the meantime, if you are buying for someone else and are unsure what they would like, call either shop and we will talk it through with you.
Do you sell wholesale or in bulk?
Yes. If you are a retailer, a reseller, or you need volume for an event or corporate gifting, email hassanperfumesca@gmail.com or call the Delta store on (778) 814-0746 and we will put together pricing for you.
Getting it to you
Delivery
How much is shipping?
Standard — free anywhere in Canada on orders of $100 or more before tax, and a flat $14.99 below that.
Express — $39.99, or $24.99 on orders of $150 or more.
Where do you ship to?
Canada, coast to coast. We do not ship internationally — carriers restrict the transport of alcohol-based products across borders, so it is not something we can offer at the moment.
How long will my order take?
One to two business days to pack, then two to seven business days in transit depending on how far the parcel has to travel. Metro Vancouver is usually at the quick end of that; the Maritimes and the North at the slower end.
How do I track my parcel?
You will get a second email with a tracking number the moment your order ships. If you cannot find it, check your spam and promotions folders, then email us and we will resend it.
Can I pick my order up in store instead?
Yes, from our Delta shop at 7921 120 St. Choose pickup at checkout rather than delivery. Orders are usually ready within about an hour during opening hours, and we will email you when it is waiting. Pickup is not available at the Vancouver store yet.
My parcel hasn't arrived. What now?
Check the tracking link first — most delays are a day or two at a sorting depot. If tracking has not moved in several days, or it says delivered and nothing arrived, call (778) 814-0746 or email hassanperfumesca@gmail.com with your order number and we will help you trace it with the carrier.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Not at the moment. Fragrance boxes are handsome enough to give as they are, and most of ours arrive sealed in their own presentation packaging.

Public holidays — 11am to 8pm
Vancouver
Monday to Friday — 9am to 7pm
Saturday — 10am to 7pm
Sunday — 12pm to 7pm
Can I try a fragrance before I buy it?
That is rather the point of coming in. Everything on the shelf is there to be tried. Spray it, walk around the shop with it, go and get a coffee and come back — fragrance changes over the first half hour and it is worth waiting for.
Do you carry more in store than on the website?
Considerably more. The site lists around five hundred fragrances; between the two shops we carry closer to seven hundred, including bottles we never put online.
What languages do your staff speak?
At both shops: English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
Can you hold something for me?
Call the shop you plan to visit and ask. If it is on the shelf we will tell you, and we can put it aside so you are not making the trip for nothing.
Do the offers run in store as well?
They do. Buy 3 get 1 at 50% off, and buy 6 get 1 free, apply at the counter in Delta and Vancouver exactly as they do online.

About the fragrances
Are your fragrances authentic?
Yes. Every bottle we sell is genuine, purchased directly from the fragrance houses and delivered sealed. Protecting that assurance is one of the reasons fragrance is sold as a final sale — it is the only way to be certain that what reaches you has never been tampered with, diluted or exchanged.
Can I return a fragrance?
Fragrance is sold as a final sale, and we are unable to accept returns or exchanges once an order has been delivered or opened. Perfumes, attars and oils are personal-care products that cannot responsibly be offered to another customer, and a bottle that has left our custody is one whose authenticity we can no longer vouch for.
Should an order arrive damaged, leaking or incorrect, please contact us within seven days of delivery with your order number and a photograph, and we will arrange a replacement or a refund. The full terms are set out in our refund policy.
Do you sell samples or decants?
We don't. Everything we sell is a full, sealed bottle. If you want to try before committing, come into either shop — anything on the shelf is open to try, and there is no charge and no obligation.
What is the difference between eau de toilette, eau de parfum and pure perfume?
How much fragrance oil is in the bottle. Roughly:
Eau de toilette (EDT) — about 5 to 15% oil. Lighter, brighter, easier in heat, wears off sooner.
Eau de parfum (EDP) — about 15 to 20%. The usual choice: rich enough to last a working day.
Extrait or pure perfume — 20% and up. Sits closer to the skin but lasts far longer, and you need very little.
A higher concentration costs more per millilitre, but you use less of it.
What is attar?
Attar is oil-based perfume with no alcohol in it — the traditional form across the Gulf and South Asia. It comes in small bottles because you need almost nothing: a dab on the wrists and the base of the neck. It sits close to the skin rather than filling a room, and it lasts a very long time.
What is oud, and why is it expensive?
Oud is the dark, resinous heartwood that forms inside an agarwood tree after it is infected by a particular mould. Only a small share of trees ever produce it, and the resin takes years to develop, which is why pure oud oil is among the most expensive materials in perfumery.
It smells deep and woody — smoky, a little sweet, sometimes leathery or animalic. Most oud fragrances blend a small amount of the real thing with accords built to sit alongside it.
What does 'unisex' mean here?
Only that the composition was not aimed at one audience. Nothing in a bottle decides who should wear it, and plenty of our customers wear whatever they like regardless of which shelf it sits on. Treat the labels as a starting point, not a rule.
Why does the same perfume smell different on me?
Because skin is part of the formula. Its oiliness, its pH, even the weather changes how the notes lift and how quickly they burn off. It is also why a paper strip only tells you half the story — spray it on your skin and give it twenty or thirty minutes before you decide.
Where should I apply it, and how much?
Pulse points, where skin is warm: wrists, the base of the throat, behind the ears, the inner elbows. Two or three sprays of an eau de parfum is plenty; a single dab of attar is.
Do not rub your wrists together afterwards. It crushes the top notes and shortens the whole thing.
How should I store my perfume?
Cool, dark and dry, with the cap on. Heat, sunlight and humidity are what break a fragrance down, so a bathroom shelf or a sunny windowsill is the worst place for it — a drawer or the original box is the best. Stored properly, a sealed bottle keeps for years and an opened one for roughly three to five.
What do 'sillage' and 'projection' mean?
Projection is how far a fragrance reaches from you. Sillage is the trail it leaves behind you as you move. Big projection is not the same as long life — attars and extraits often sit quietly on the skin and outlast something far louder.
