Hassan Perfumes

Our story

It started with a man who owned a hundred and fifty bottles and still could not buy one without gambling.

2025

The problem was buying blind

Pranay Bansal had about a hundred and fifty fragrances at home — designer, Middle Eastern, anything that caught him. The collection was the easy part. Getting it was not.

Everything had to be bought online, unsmelled. He would order ten bottles at a time and five or six of them would turn out to be nothing like him. There was no returning them; fragrance does not work that way. And every so often, because these are the bottles everyone wants, something would arrive that was not quite right — and there was no way to know beforehand and no way to prove it afterwards.

The name on the door

There really is a Hassan

The idea did not come from a business plan. It came over a headset, in the middle of a game, from a friend in the Middle East — where a perfume shop on the corner is an ordinary thing rather than a niche one.

You already run a shop, he said. Put a small perfume section in it. See what Vancouver makes of it.

Pranay dismissed it. He assumed almost nobody was as strange about fragrance as he was. But the friend would not let it go, and he was so certain about it that the idea was eventually worth testing — a single corner of the counter, a few perfume oils, no expectations.

People stopped. They kept stopping. The corner became a shelf, the shelf became a wall, and by June 2026 it had taken over a whole section of the store. When it came time to give the thing a name, there was only one it could have. The friend's name is Hassan.

Why it matters here

We buy direct from the houses

Customers kept asking for the viral bottles, so we brought more in. Volume came quickly — quickly enough that we could stop buying through the middle and start buying straight from the fragrance houses themselves.

That is the part worth understanding. The problem Pranay had as a collector — never quite knowing whether the bottle in his hand was the real thing — is the problem this shop was built to remove. Buy from us and you are getting the real one. Our customers know it, and it is the reason a lot of them stopped shopping anywhere else.

What we stand on

How we do it

Smell it first

The whole point of a shop

Everything on our shelves is open. Spray it, walk around with it, come back an hour later. This business exists because its founder was never allowed to do that.

Bought direct

Genuine, every bottle

We buy from the fragrance houses themselves. Each bottle reaches you sealed and exactly as the maker intended — no middle, no doubt.

Fully served

Nobody shops alone here

There is no self-serve aisle. From the first spray to the final choice, someone is beside you to guide, to compare and to answer honestly.

Where we stand

A shop, not a warehouse

We are not trying to be the cheapest listing on the internet. Anyone can undercut a price. What no website can offer is the moment a fragrance settles on your skin and you know it is the one.

That is why we keep two stores, in Delta and in Vancouver, where every bottle is open to try and our team knows each one well. Come in with nothing in mind and leave with something that suits you, or come in knowing exactly what you want and we will have it ready for you. Both are equally welcome.

You are welcome any day

Come and see us

Delta and Vancouver, open seven days a week, free parking at both. Everything on the shelf is there to be tried.
